Z
A Code an option on a 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle 396 Super Sport. One of Chevrolet’s first muscle cars. This car came was built with a Mark IV big-block V-8 The production of these cars was limited to 200 units.
Z/28 --Was a special Camaro built by Chevrolet so that Camaros could compete in the SCCA Trans Am Race Series. These cars were built from 1967 to 1971.
Zerk Fitting (Grease gun fitting) --A small check valve attachment to a bearing housing used to provide pressurized lubricant to the bearing.
ZL1 --The ZL1 is an all-aluminum, 430hp version of the Chevrolet big-block 427 cubic inch V-8. It was installed in special order cars from Chevrolet.
Zora Arkus-Duntov --The individual responsible for leading the Corvette program from 1955 through 1975. Being a huge advocate for performance and power within GM cars, his influence soon spread not only to the Corvette line, but the Chevy lineup as well.
